Job Purpose |
Job Purpose | This position will support the company’s larger labor strategy through field observation, data collection, and analysis. This role will travel between store locations to log data on specific processes as the need for validation arises. |

Essential Responsibilities |
Percent Of Responsibilities | Responsibility | % Of Time | Designs and executes data collection methods which may vary across the observed process. In addition, works within the function of the company’s labor standard database to ensure all observational data is mapped to the appropriate unit of measure for a given process. | 60% | Responsible for basic data analytics and structuring to support the overarching goal of a task-based labor model. Using statistical analysis and other tools, will provide insights to leadership based on the data they collect. | 20% | Identifies potential areas for improvement by capturing information on an existing process and developing a data driven business case to recommend changes to store processes. | 20% |

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required | · Prior internship experience in an industrial engineering (or similar) role · Understanding of labor studies, time and motion studies, efficiency review, process & value stream mapping · Education or experience with statistical analysis · Knowledge of systems thinking · Excellent analytical and organizational skills · Strong Excel and data analysis skills · Strong interpersonal skills · Strong verbal and communication skills · Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite products |

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred | · Preferred experience in a Retail or Grocery environment · Preferred knowledge of Excel VBA · Experience with time measurement or similar data collection · Preferred experience with large scale labor standards databases such as Labor Pro, Axsium Opus, Standards Pro, or Legion. · Development and utilization of cyclical maintenance programs · Preferred certification in Maynard MOST · Preferred certification in Lean Six Sigma |
